Becky Bentley praised the delicious hamburger, highlighting the unique touch of garlicky butter on the bun that elevates this simple dish into something memorable. These modest yet flavorful offerings enhance the overall experience, providing more than just drinks but a full sensory delight.

That said, it’s helpful to note a couple of practical tips before visiting. As Melissa pointed out, Sunman’s Landing doesn’t always operate on a fixed schedule and may close during slow periods, so a quick call ahead (at +1 812-623-2337) might save you a trip. Also, the bar operates on a cash-only basis, although an ATM is available on site to make transactions easier.

The only reason i give it 4 stars is because theres not really set hours. They just close when thier slow. (Which I understand) Just wanted to let you be aware in case it says it, or you drive out that way and they are closed. The fried pickles are my favorite!

Fun older bar. Only gave four because you have to pay to listen to music. The juke box, and I personally like to listen to music while having a drink. If you smoke your in luck. You can still smoke inside. Friendly surrounding and bartenders. Has a pool table and a boxing game as well!

Visited with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. It opened in 1905, and has be refurbished to reflect that period. The bar, ceiling, seem to be original. (Two electronic dart boards in the back are truly anachronistic, but hey, this is the 21st century. ) -- Another reviewer commented that the place "makes you feel right at home." Agree 100% - Something to improve: Most seating is tall, but comfortable, stools around tall tables. I prefer setting with my feet on the floor. -- Drinks were very reasonably priced. -- Did not try to food, but will report back after doing so.

Absolutely the best food for miles around. It's Hog Rock 2.0. Friendlest staff around. Even the best waitress from hobo hut is here! Even has the Biggin burger with Biggin. Will be back often.
